Documentation Required
  1. Passport (must show last entry stamp)
  2. Visa
  3. Work Permit
  4. Certificate of Change of Residence
  5. "Attestation reservation de cale"
  6. Bank Guarantee
  7. Inventory (detailed in French, valued, dated, and signed by customer)
  8. Importers Declaration for Customs
  9. Health Certificate, showing that the customer has been vaccinated against yellow fever (compulsory) and cholera (optional)
  10. Letter of transfer from customer's employer
Customs Regulations
  1. CUSTOMER MUST BE PRESENT AT CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
  2. All shipments inspected
Dutiable and Restricted Items
  1. All goods less than six months in owner's possession are dutiable (invoices required)
  2. Home computers
  3. Art objects, jewelry and antiques (depends on quantity)
  4. Customer must pay a 5% statistical tax on the declared value of inventory unless customer belongs to an exempted organization or project in Niger.

Motor Vehicles
  1. New cars are dutiable
  2. Documents required:
    • Original Purchase Invoice
    • Log Book/Registration Card
    • International Insurance
    • Valid passport
Animals and Pets
  1. Health Certificate signed and dated by a veterinarian, showing that the animal has been vaccinated against rabies
