In order to aid you in moving to Morocco we have gathered customs information. We advise you to carefully review the information relating to moving to Morocco. Documentation Required
  1. Passport (original)
  2. Residence Visa (original)
  3. Work Permit or Work Certificate from the employer (original)
  4. Certificate of Residence Change (original) issued by the local authority at the point of departure
  5. Inventory (in French consularized)
  6. Letter signed by the Customer authorizing the Destination Agent to clear the shipment
Customs Regulations
  1. Customers presence is not required for Customs clearance
  2. Used household goods and personal effects in reasonable quantities may be imported duty-free if owned for more than six months
  3. If two shipments are sent, the second shipment must arrive no later then six months after the first
  4. shipments are physically inspected
Dutiable and Restricted Items
  1. New items less then six months old (Commercial Invoice required)
  2. Food and beverages
  3. Electronic and electrical items are dutiable (load near container door for easy access)
  4. Antiques
  5. Portable phones must be approved by the Ministry of P.T.T.
  6. Medicine (permit from Ministry of Health required)
  7. Weapons and ammunition (hunting permit and firearm acquisition certificate required). Only smooth-barreled hunting weapons are permitted.
  8. Books, records and cassettes and compact disks
  9. A list must be provided stating the title and name of author for each item
  10. These items will be viewed by the Ministry of Information before a censorship visa is granted. Place any dutiable/restricted items near container doors for easy access.
Prohibited Items
  1. Moroccan currency
  2. Pornographic and politically sensitive material
  3. Narcotics and drugs
  4. Walkie-talkies
  5. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products
  6. Explosives
Motor Vehicles
  1. All vehicles are highly dutiable
  2. Permission to circulate is granted for 3 months, beyond this point the Customer must pay Customs duty or export the vehicle

  7. Auto paperwork
  8. Invoice
Animals and Pets
  1. Health Certificate, dated not more than 14 days before departure, is required
