In order to aid you in moving to Bulgaria we have gathered customs information. We advise you to carefully review the information relating to moving to Bulgaria. Documentation Required

1. Passport (copy)
2. Work Permit (original)
3. Certificate issued by the Ministry of the Interior with the identification number (Residence Permit)
4. Letter from employer confirming transfer (it must state how long shipper has been working abroad)
5. Letter of Attorney
6. Inventory (in English and signed and dated by the Customer)
7. Must show all electrical and electronic devices, brand names and serial numbers
8. Paintings should be listed and described separately
9. Letter of Authorization for service provider to deal with customs clearance verified by a notary

Customs Regulations

1. Household goods can be imported up to three months after Customer's arrival

Dutiable and Restricted Items

1. Machinery and equipment
2. Plants (Certificate of Health from the Ministry of Agriculture required)
3. Liquor
4. Two bottles of wine or one bottle of hard liquor (containing 20% or more alcohol by VOL.)
5. If customs authorities discovers more than allowed quantity, all alcohol will be confiscated
6. Antiques

Prohibited Items

1. Firearms

3. Drugs
4. Bulgarian Currency

Animals and Pets

1. Veterinary and Inoculation Certificate required

Motor Vehicles

1. One motor vehicle can be imported duty-free
2. Documents required:

6. National Drivers license
7. International Insurance Policy (Green Card)
