Documentation Required

1. Detailed valued inventory in French, signed and dated by the shipper
2. Letter of transfer from the shipper's employer
3. "Attestation reservation de cale"

Customs regulations

1. Household goods are duty-free if shipper can prove ownership of those goods

Dutiable and Restricted Items

1. Home computers are not accepted as personal effects and will be subject to customs duties and import taxes
2. New electrical items are subject to payment of customs duties and taxes
3. All electrical items and furniture must be more than six months old (invoices required)

Prohibited Items

1. Alcohol and other spirits are prohibited and should be sent separately
2. Drugs
3. Weapons

Motor Vehicles

1. New autos are dutiable

Animals and Pets

1. Health Certificate from veterinarian is required
